Menus are carefully planned and accommodations are made for students with food allergies. The “Ascensible Café” has won the Ohio’s Best Award for Food Service. Good news from the Cafeteria…..Ascension wins Honorable Mention with the Stellar Award!!

In appreciation for receiving the Stellar Award, the cafeteria would like to acknowledge those who helped us and continue to help in our daily job performance. The award includes a wide variety of stipulations. None of these could be completed without the help of faculty and students. In addition to the quality of food, the low sugar and fat content permitted, the variety of healthy snacks, etc., the following areas, to name only a few, are very important. We need to maintain proper temperatures of food; sanitizing tables and equipment; a student advisory counsel; proper exercise in the school which involves both the physical education teacher and the extended learning program; any student allergies which is shared with the nurse; communication and sharing any available educational information with teachers; offering a breakfast program; daily lunch announcements from the office staff; recycling; continued education of cafeteria staff; student education with posters, bulletin board and announcements; parent volunteers for special programs set up by the principal and staff; lunch recess time with outdoor activity for all grade levels; science and health fairs; and more.
So, we would like to thank all for your continued help to make our school the best it can be. Working together we make a great school.!!
