Hello all, it has been a wonderful 4months as I get settled in the new and spacious accommodations here at Ascension. Getting settled in and going through resources and past programs and events has been a task. I hope to speed up my learning curve with the social media and website communications.

This spot will be for reflections and my own "Faith Thoughts". I hope to share with you a bit from my own faith journey and encourage you to reflect as often as possible to see where God is blessing you and leading you. I feel blessed to minister here at Ascension and believe God was preparing a place for me several years ago, as I left Youth Ministry for a different ministry path. My husband and I have raised 6 children and for most of my ministry 3 of the older ones were active in my ministry. The younger 2 who are now a junior and senior in H.S. were not as active in my H.S. youth ministry since it was not at our home parish.

Over the past 2 years I had the opportunity to volunteer at our home parish and minister in programs and chaperone events where my youngest were involved. My daughter shared with me at one point that she thought I was good at this ministry stuff. Not really realizing that she had never really experienced me as a YOUTH MINISTER while she has been in H.S. This conversation led me to pray about the opportunity to do youth ministry again. It was a few months after that conversation that the Ascension Youth Ministry Job opportunity surfaced. It took a few days of prayer and talking with my family to realize going back into parish ministry was what God had in store for me.
The scripture that comes to mind and one that I used during this time is Jeremiah 29:11-12

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe. Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you.

He has plans for you....... go to HIM in prayer
