Immigration Event

The Catholic Church has called for a comprehensive reform of our immigration laws. For more information about the unwavering message of the U.S. bishops on this issue, please visit www.justiceforimmigrants.org. If you would like a parish kit of very helpful information on this issue, please contact Catholic Social Action.

Suggested Activities:
-Read “Strangers No Longer: Together on the Journey of Hope” USCCB or Pastoral letters; both at website listed above.

-Watch for a book study session where the study is Immigration. The Collaborative Outreach Planning Team consisting of members from Ascension, Immaculate Conception, and St. Helen may organize a session.

-Watch for a video viewing on immigration that may also be organized by the Collaborative Outreach Planning Team.

-Letter writing campaign: We urge you to contact your senators now and urge them to support an immigration reform as outlined by the U.S. bishops.
