Education

Evaluates the educational programs and policies of Ascension Parish, makes recommendations accordingly, and supports the implementation of these programs and policies. Our focus is the needs of families with children eligible for Early Childhood programs through grade eight.

FAMILY FAITH FORMATION
Develop and sponsor educational programs for parents of Ascension’s children to allow them to better fulfill their role as the primary religious educators of their children; develop and sponsor enrichment programs for families of Ascension’s children

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
Evaluates and recommends Sacramental preparation processes with focus on Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation; strengthens parental involvement in the sacramental preparation of school age children.

TECHNOLOGY
Creates a technology plan for the Ascension School building in conjunction with the Ascension School and Religious Education staff and the Buildings and Grounds Commission.
