Evangelization and Lifelong Faith Formation (ELFF)

ELFF was established to explore how we can invite ourselves and others to ever-deepening experiences of God’s love and the Church’s mission.

ADULT FAITH ENRICHMENT
Plans programs to enrich adult knowledge and understanding of Catholic traditions and teachings. Programs include guest speakers, discussions, and special as well as social events.

NEWCOMER REGISTRATION AND WELCOME
Oversees registration of new members on the second Sunday of the month after the 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses. Helps new members feel welcome and part of the parish. Makes them aware of and encourages participation in upcoming parish activities.

SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES
Provides opportunities for learning, prayer, mutual support and the shared experience of Christian living and society in a small group. Includes Bible study and prayer groups.

VOCATIONS
The work of this committee emphasizes the need for an increase in religious vocations but also focuses on other important and valid vocations—married life, single life and lay ministry. Vocations awareness is heightened through programs and activities involving children of the school and religious education programs, youth ministry and parishioners of all ages.

WELCOMING
Helps identify and welcome people interested in joining the Catholic Church (RCIA) and Catholics wishing to return. Determines availability of resources of support for those who may feel less welcome in the church. These groups include but are not limited to: inactives; unchurched; divorced or separated Catholics; remarried; singles; single parents; gays and lesbians.
