Women’s Guild
All women of the parish over 18 years of age are welcome to participate in any or all of the Women’s Guild activities that contribute to the parish socially and financially. Activities include the annual Holiday Bazaar, Mother-Daughter Banquet and Women of the Year awards, quilting, Right to Life, funeral meat trays, 25th and 50th Wedding Anniversary Brunch, SCRIP sales, Confirmation reception and Baptismal robes. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Witzman Center.
QUILTERS
This group meets every Tuesday. Members come any time they can between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to work on a quilt that is raffled off in November each year at the Holiday Bazaar. Those interested in learning are welcome.
BAPTISMAL ROBES
Those interested can help embroider the simple baptismal cloths given to each infant/child baptized at Ascension. All supplies and directions are provided.
HOLIDAY BAZAAR
Harvest of Values Bazaar is an annual gathering of crafters, held on the 2nd Saturday in November. This is Women’s Guild’s fund raiser for the year. Volunteers are needed to serve baked goods, refreshments and to sell at our own craft table. Baked goods and craft items are appreciated.
SCRIP PROGRAM
Women’s Guild sells SCRIP (Store gift cards). These can be purchased and spent for face value—costing you, the consumer, nothing. What’s available: Elder Beerman, Kohl’s, Speedway, Kroger and Meijer’s. Call Joanne or Judy to order.
NURSERY
Located in the Witzman Center, the Nursery provides a safe environment, loving care and lots of fun for infants and toddlers age 6 months to 3 years old during the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Masses.
