GREETERS
Men and women from high school age on up show our hospitality by offering a friendly smile and a welcoming word as people enter the church for Sunday Liturgy.
USHERS
Men and women from high school age on up assist people in many ways before, during and after Sunday Liturgies.
LECTORS
Men and women from high school age on up proclaim the Word at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days (1st & 2nd Readings). To be commissioned for this ministry, the lay minister must be Confirmed.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Men and women from high school age and up assist the priest to distribute Holy Communion at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. To be commissioned for this ministry, the lay minister must be Confirmed.
SERVERS
Young men and women, grades 5 and up, assist the priest at Sunday Masses. Adult men and women serve the 7:00 am Sunday Mass. Through his or her own participation, prayerfulness, and dedication, the server is expected to be a leader in the community’s prayer. Servers are scheduled about once every four to six weeks. Training sessions for new servers are scheduled at the beginning of each school year.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
During the Liturgy of the Word at the 9:00 and 10:30 Masses on Sundays, all children in grades 1-3 are invited to participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word. The children go in procession from the main assembly to the Witzman Center where they hear the Sunday readings, sing responses, and offer petitions, at their level of understanding. Volunteers are always welcome to assist, and after training, to help lead the Scripture reflections.
ALTAR & SACRISTY
Members help launder alter linens and do seasonal decorations.
TRADITIONAL CHOIR
The choir provides musical leadership at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Masses September - May and practices on Thursday nights.
CONTEMPORARY CHOIR
Any parishioner, 14 years or older, who enjoys singing or playing a musical instrument is invited to join. The choir sings at the 9:00 am Mass on alternate Sundays and practices on alternate Tuesday nights.
CANTORS
The Cantor is the “psalmist,” and also leads the assembly in song during various parts of the Mass. This ministry requires certain vocal abilities.
