Youth Activities

YOUTH MINISTRY

Ascension’s Youth Ministry goals are to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus, to draw them into participation in the life of the Church community, and to foster personal and spiritual growth.

JH Youth Ministry is open to all 7-8th grade parish youth and friends from Catholic and public schools. A variety of JH Socials are held monthly typically on a Friday or Saturday. Larger inter-parish events are also held, such as World Youth Day Fall Fest, pool party, etc. Service learning projects are available through the year. Parents play an active role in facilitating these events.

High School Youth Ministry is open to all 9-12th grade parish youth and friends from Catholic and public schools. Our small Christian communities, “Life Groups” meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays September—May 11:30 am—1:30 pm or 7-9 pm. Other HSYM events include game nights, ski trips, scavenger hunts, retreats, service projects, rallies, national conferences and more.
