Knight of Columbus Council #14891 – Our Lady of the Light

Our Lady of the Light Council was chartered November 2009 at Ascension Church, Kettering, OH. We meet the first Wednesday of every month in the Witzman Center at Ascension Church.

Pro-Life Program

We must continue to be strong defenders of life, from conception to natural death. As Knights, we are “Strong in Faith and Service” and prayer is our greatest advocate; focus attention on praying for the end to the evil of abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, embryonic stem cell research and human cloning. Promote a sense and support for the “culture of life”.

The information above and the possible activities are based on suggestions found on the Ohio State Council website. We are a new council and have started new programs, but we will continue to add more.

Although the K of C has been actively involved for a long time, Pro Life has only recently been created as a separate program.

Our council donated funds for two youth to attend the trip to DC for those participating in the right to life march

bus trip to Washington DC.

We are participating in peaceful show of support for life at local abortion clinics and will continue to assist worthy causes supporting life and spread the word that all life is precious.

Fund raising for right to life events and charities is accomplished  with 50/50 raffles.

We need to inform everyone and support the Day of the Unborn Child. This very important day occurs on March 25 this year.

The previous are examples of ways to support the choice for life. We welcome any other suggestions.
