Religious Education

The Religious Education programs of Ascension Parish support the families of all parish children who are enrolled in public and private (other than Ascension School) schools or who are home schooled.

The Ascension Religious Education Program assists parents, as the primary educators of their children, in providing the knowledge, experiences, and skills needed to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus. We enable parents and children to live out their baptismal call to discipleship by providing opportunities for faith formation through prayer and liturgy, moral formation, catechetical instruction, and service. In collaboration with parents and volunteer catechists, we initiate the child into the Catholic Christian community and into participation in the Church’s mission of working for the Reign of God.
