See You In Sidney - WYD ‘08

We may not be headed to Sydney, Australia for World Youth Day 2008 - but there is a Sidney, Ohio - RIGHT?

It’s a shorter trip and a bit less expensive too! Dioceses of Ohio and Michigan are planning a terrific event! On the very same weekend as our friends who have journeyed to Australia, July 19-20, 2008, we will host an event in Sidney, OH on the grounds of Lehman High School. The event is complete with the experience of sleeping outside under the stars, great music by Who Do You Say I Am , great speakers (including Mike Patin) and terrific prayer times. We will continue to keep you posted with more information as the details progress on our website, but mark your calendars now to join youth from all of Ohio and Michigan at this special event!

Registration & Event Details:

  • To reserve space for our parish group, we must send in the $50.00 per participant deposit and the Pre-Registration Form (Forms E & F) to the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry by April 25th.
  • The first 350 registered participants are guaranteed space, and the additional registrations will be waitlisted.
  • The final payment is due May 23, 2008.
  • Make Checks Payable to: Archdiocese of Cincinnati
  • The cost for registrations is $90.
  • The primary audience for the conference is High School Age Youth. High School graduating
    classes of 2008-2012
  • Young Adults can attend but must register through a parish group. Young Adults are defined as anyone post high school through age 30 and not assigned as a chaperone.
  • Saturday’s Lunch and Dinner and Sunday Breakfast are included. Concessions will be open Saturday evening for purchases.
  • T-shirts are provided and sizes are requested on the individual registration forms.
  • Each parish is encouraged to create a parish banner to include the name of parish, town or city, and should emphasize one of the themes of World Youth Day, 2008. The recommended size is 4’ by 6’. Groups must provide your own pole and stand.
