SACRAMENTS OF FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION
The Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion (Eucharist) are typically received for the first time when a child is in the 2nd grade.
In order to be enrolled in this process, students must have been baptized by the age of 7 years old and 2nd graders must have actively participated in 1st grade religious education or have attended Catholic school in 1st grade.
The parents or guardians of any student who desires to enter this sacramental preparation program who are not baptized and/or have not had previous formal faith formation should contact the Coordinator of Religious Education for more information.
If your child is enrolled in First Grade at Ascension School, St. Albert School, or Religious Education at St. Albert the Great, you will be contacted automatically in late May by the Religious Education Office to register your student for sacramental preparation.
