Exciting News About Our Beacons of Light Progress!
In June of 1955, Father Arnold F. Witzman received a call from Archbishop Karl J. Alter to move from Cincinnati to Dayton to organize a new parish—a parish which came to be known as The Church of the Ascension. Ascension's historical milestones can be found here.
On July 1, 2022, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati's Beacons of Light Program was implemented. As part of this process, St. Albert the Great, St. Charles Borromeo, and the Church of the Ascension became one Parish Family known as the Kettering Catholic Community.
