During the Liturgy of the Word (11:00 Mass) children in grades K-4 are invited to participate in Children's Liturgy of the Word at the 11:00 Mass.  The children go in procession from the main assembly to the Witzman Center where they hear the Sunday readings, sing responses, and offer petitions, at their level of understanding.  Volunteers are always welcome to assist, and after training, to help lead the Scripture reflections.

The Contemporary Ensemble is a great way to give your spirit a boost!  A welcoming, friendly, and flexible music group that enjoys and sharing our talents to glorify God.  We lead the congregation in song at the 8:30 AM Mass from September through the beginning of June, Easter, Christmas Eve at 3 PM, and special events as they arise.  The ensemble practices on Tuesday evenings and prior to Mass on the Sundays we are scheduled.   We welcome singers (ages 10 to adult) and guitarists, percussionists and other instrumentalists (high school age and older).

The Parish Family Choir is for active junior high & high school students along with busy adults and seniors.  Choir members are able to sing at the 11:00 AM Mass on Sundays without the commitment of evening rehearsals.  The practice is conveniently held prior to Mass.  This ensemble is a great opportunity to sing as a family or to become part of the choir family.

Christmas Eve Choirs: These choirs are a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas through sacred music. Please consider joining other music lovers as we prepare for the Christmas Eve Masses. There are two Christmas Eve Choirs to choose from so pick the one that will best fit your schedule. Rehearsals begin in November.

Holy Thursday & Easter Vigil What a wonderful and prayerful way to prepare yourself for Holy Week and the Triduum then by joining this seasonal choir.  Both evenings are rich in symbolism and rituals.  Music enhances these beautiful liturgies and feeds the soul.  Rehearsals begin 6-7 weeks prior to Holy Week.

Instrumentalists:  Intermediate and advanced instrumentalists are welcome to rehearse and participate in any of these seasonal choirs as your schedule permits.  Sharing your musical abilities with our parish enhances these special liturgies.  An interview/audition is required for this ministry.

Hand Chimes:  If you read music and/or play an instrument, please consider sharing your musical talents with the parish.  The Tone Chime Ringers play at special liturgies and rehearsals are scheduled as needed.  Intermediate and advanced instrumentalists are welcome to rehearse and play as your schedule permits.  An interview/audition is required for this ministry.

Sound Technician:  This ministry is open to high school students and adults.  Do you have a good “ear” for music?  Willing to learn how to “mix” the voices and instruments at Mass?  Join a team of sound technicians on a rotating schedule to run the mixer for the 11:00 am Sunday Mass.  No experience is needed; training will be provided.

Men, women and families display the Ascension hospitality by offering a friendly smile and a welcoming word as people enter the church for Liturgy.  Your fifteen minutes before Mass as a greeter makes a big difference!
